On March 2019, PNS (Saponins in Panax notoginseng) was recognized as GRAS by FDA. Panax notoginseng raw materials were officially put on the list of HerbMedPro on Aug.28th.2019. PNS, as the primary ingredient of Panax notoginseng, is an iconic herbal medicine in East Asia. PNS mainly contains five compounds, namely, notoginsenoside R1, ginsenoside Rg1 (also called sanchinoside C1), ginsenoside Re, ginsenoside Rb1, and ginsenoside Rd.
